Intersession & Aftercare Program
Kids & Culture is pleased to provide programming for Breakthrough Montessori’s Intersession and Aftercare program. Students will embark on a Montessori-inspired journey that includes cultural, visual, and performing arts centered on country unit studies infused with geography. Students enrolled in aftercare will continue their cultural journey by exploring culture-choice art, makers’ space, and game-time centers. Outdoor exploration is also incorporated. Aftercare is available on intersession days only.
Grades: PK4-Grade 6

Dates: Mondays, Sept. 14-Dec. 7, 2026 (fall semester only), nine days

Time: 1:15-3:15 PM (Intersession) | 3:30-6:00 PM (Aftercare)
Tuition: Intersession $360/semester | Aftercare $270/semester
Families may enroll in Intersession only or Intersession + Aftercare. Payment plans are available.
Register by August 31 to receive a $18 sibling discount for each additional child enrolled.
Summer Camp 2026
For the summer of 2026, Kids & Culture will offer 4 weeks of programming June 22-July 17 at DC Bilingual Public Charter School. Each week, campers will embark on a cultural journey that includes the exploration of nature, music, foreign languages, sports, dramatic play, art, exercise, math, history, literature, and more. The summer cultures of focus are Colombia, the Philippines, Uganda, and Japan. Sub-themes are incorporated daily to facilitate a fun and culturally stimulating camp experience.
Spring Break Camp 2026
Kids & Culture is pleased to offer Spring Break Camp, April 13-17, 2026, at Shining Stars Montessori Academy. Campers will experience an exciting cultural immersion journey that includes nature, geography, music, history, foreign languages, art, science, math, literature, and free play. Daily sub-themes are incorporated to create a fun and culturally enriching camp experience.
Ages: 3-12
Location: Shining Stars Montessori, 1240 Randolph Street, NE, DC 20017.
Dates: April 13- 17, 2026
Time: 9 AM – 3 PM (regular camp) | 7:45 AM (before camp) | 3- 5 PM (after camp)
NO SCHOOL DAYS CAMP
Need childcare when school is closed? Your student will explore various cultures, traditions, languages, and histories through hands-on activities, storytelling, games, music, art, and more! Check back for 2026 No School Days camp dates.

KIDS CONFERENCE CAMP
Planning a conference or meeting? Kids and Culture provides on-site fun, engaging, and culturally stimulating programs for children at conference venues for businesses and organizations, allowing parents to attend meetings worry-free.
Kids and Culture’s offering for the Inaugural Working Families Party Convention was an amazing undertaking of culture, fun, education, and master teaching, all encapsulated into one riveting childcare experience. This two-day kids camp permitted our WFP families the security and safety to participate in convention business while having their children in the care of seasoned and nurturing educators.
CULTURAL ASSEMBLIES
Kids and Culture provides exciting interactive cultural assemblies for schools and organizations. KCC’s assemblies are designed to foster excitement and appreciation for global cultures. We tailor each assembly to fit the demographics, needs, and cultures of our clients.
My experience working with Kids and Culture Camp has been fantastic. I’d like to see some form or fashion of KCC in every school.
Having engaged with KCC during Black History Month, I have witnessed their exceptional service delivery and commitment to promoting cultural diversity among students and families. KCC’s interactive approach to educating individuals on cultural intersectionality is commendable.
