Due to a surge in COVID cases in May, masks will be required through the end of the school year while indoors and mask-optional while outside. KCC will follow the policy adopted by Breakthrough for the duration of Camp. Campers are not required to be vaccinated and we will report the percentage of vaccinated staff as well as those who received religious or medical exemptions. Please be patient as we work to update our site in prep for camp this summer.
HEALTHY FOOD. We encourage parents to pack healthy snacks and lunches. Minimizing or avoiding foods that contain harmful chemicals, preservatives, refined sugars, refined flours, and hydrogenated fats is highly suggested. Kids and Culture staffers have been instructed not to give children candy or gum at any time. For pre-planned special events, such as Festival Fridays, campers may have the option of eating a popsicle or other dessert that adheres to the standards set forth above.
INCLEMENT WEATHER. Kids and Culture Camp will not close due inclement weather, unless the administrators overseeing the camp site determine that attendance will present a safety hazard or there is loss of power. In the event that camp is closed due to loss of power or safety concerns, parents will receive an email from the Director. Parents will also receive notification via email if other emergencies arise that may change the normal camp schedule.
